‘Magic Middle’ Blogs To Watch Out For in 2014

How many times throughout the entire year of 2013 did you see bloggers create “top 10″ and other “Top lists”? I don’t expect you to have a honest answer for that question — though the point I’m making here is that everyone seems to have a fair idea of which SEO bloggers are the cream of the crop.

What rubbs me the wrong way about this is that industry influencers are known for screaming to the roof tops about “why you should engage your audience” and how to do so. How many times have you seen industry influencers talk about social media marketing, content syndication and sharing the content of others? Again — I don’t want an answer to that question.

The point I’m making here is that industry influencers will be the last — when it comes to those who share your content. Truth is, they rarely ever share anyone elses content, other than sharing the content of “other influencers”. Unless you offer them a few bucks or bribe them, your stuff just isn’t getting shared by them. Forget about it.

Talk about being an obvious hypocrite — I truthfully don’t see how or why the majority of industry influencers got to become industry influencers, other than getting their name and content mentioned by a special someone. I’m not going to explain that one! I’m not sure if it’s me or if the search and blogging sphere is the worlds worst for this behavior or if this is the reality within every market. Either way — it’s a sad truth.

I have been searching Google far and wide for SEO and Marketing blogs that have awesome blogs and great content, that go un-noticed. It took me quite a while to compile a list due to all of the work involved, but I did however come up with a pretty awesome one that I’m going to share with you.

As a professional blogger, I feel that other great bloggers deserve more attention than what they get and as a influencer in my industry, I aim to make a big change throughout the coming year (2014).

These blogs all have one a few things in common. They’re all just as awesome, if not better than the “top lists” that was shared by industry influencers all year long.

I was truly amazed at how hard these above blogs have been marketing their work, while all along not getting any attention. I think you’ll be shocked yourself once you start looking into these blogs. The quality within some of them is absolutely stunning.

Something they must have also had in common is; none of them have industry influencer (inner circle) buddies to push their site’s reputation — the way that SEOMoz pushed the work of Jon Cooper. (Not getting into that now!) But you catch my drift..

Lists can be a great way for any blogger to drive traffic to their site and gain natural links, but if you’re going to create a list — make sure it’s natural and STOP copying other bloggers lists, while trying to make the context different.

Every top SEO blog list that I’ve seen this year, was a list of the same blogs. It’s time I put a stop to that!

If your blog wasn’t in the above list, continue to check back. I’ll be adding new, kick ass blogs on a regular basis. If you’re regularly creating great content, you can bet — I’ll find you..

I would love your input on this epidemic and would love to hear what you think about some of the blogs in the above list. The blogs in the above list range from information about White, Grey to Blackhat strategies. They’re full of value and are owned by some awesome marketers.
