Semantic Search and or Semantic Web is something 99% of all SEO’s aren’t educated on and the reason for this is pretty simple — there is NO passion in the hearts and minds of SEO’s these days and the majority of them didn’t become an SEO out of passion alone or a drive to learn about Search — most all SEO’s call themselves SEO’s for the sake of profiting, whether it be legitimate or illegitimate. A very sad reality.
Search Optimization is far from what it once was, yet the same principles still apply in many aspects of the process in which “works” to rank website’s today, albeit though, there have been many implementations, alterations, additions and subtractions to the overall process of how SEO works. SEO is and always will be a constantly evolving art of a marketing science. What was once nothing more than keyword density and backlinks, is now an art of marketing perfection within a search engine reports page.
Let’s stop and think about Semantic Search for a moment. As we crawl more closely on a daily basis, Google is crawling the web and indexing webpages in a more higher quality of understanding, with a (sharp) focused attitude, an attitude called Semantic Search.
What Does Semantic Search Even Mean Today?
Semantic Search isn’t where Google is headed — Semantic Search is where Google is currently performing. They’re far ahead of the rest of the game. Many don’t even know what the term “Semantic Search” means. You’ve heard of it, but with all honesty, you have no fucking idea what it even stands for. As a professional (that’s what you call yourself, right?) that’s sad. You should start taking more time to read everyday.
The definition of Semantic Search is “the meaning of a context”. The meaning of a content is nothing more than “what something represents and or stands for. As an example, let’s say that yoo write an article about “how to start marketing your website through the means of a Local SEO campaign“. After the article has been written by you, the article would naturally possess a meaning. That meaning would very likely be close to something along the lines of “online marketing and local SEO“.
Google’s Semantic Search is the process in which focuses on locating the real intent (meaning) of the targeted query, rather than simply matching a webpage to a search string or keyword.
After you’ve written the article, you should read it. Google no longer indexes website’s through their search engine via the means of a keyword and or a keyword density. Google uses something called Semantic Search. They rank articles based solely upon their overall meaning and how Google comprehends that article, through its machine learning system.
The Conclusion To This Hypothesis
I realize that learning Semantic Search can be difficult to understand and work with. This is why I had decided to create an easy to understand article. This article breaks “Semantic Search” down into one word. The one word that defines Semantic Search is = meaning. I’ll bet that now you understand what Semantic Search means or defines, isn’t all that difficult as what you thought it was, eh?
